Safe Place International, is a US registered 501c3 non-profit organization whose core mission is to protect and empower doubly marginalized refugees around the world by creating a framework of safety and sustainability for the people we serve. SPI's main objectives are:- Support grassroots organizations in providing necessary provisions, such as food and housing, to ensure safety and well-being.- Support grassroots organizations in mental health and trauma first aid and harm mitigation.- Encourage asylum community involvement, online, and in-person with larger communities to support integration.- Provide education & vocational training to empower community members and ensure sustainable employment opportunities. SPI envisions a world where every human being is celebrated for the unique gifts they bring. A world where sexual orientation, race, gender, class, religious orientation, physical or mental ability, and country of birth no longer separate us; a world where the recognition that the survival of our species and the planet as a whole is directly dependent on how we love and care for the most vulnerable among us.
