Samizdat Online's mission is to ensure that people everywhere have access to a free and fair press and to provide journalists and the tools to combat repressive censorship. As of June 2022, almost 1,900 domains are banned and blocked in Russia, denying Russian citizens the ability to learn the truth about Russian aggression and Putin's brutality. Samizdat Online's team of engineers and developers have created purpose built, sophisticated technology that allows SO to digitally shield and mask curated links to news outlets and journalists currently blocked in Russia, allowing those links to be shared freely without censorship.The SO team will curate unbiased and important reporting and stories and highlight them in our news feed, in their original form as well as translated into Russian. That content is then available for distribution, regardless of censorship, via our easy-to-share, unblockable SOLinks™.
