The Sciences Po Energy Association (SPEA) is a non-profit student association that was founded in October 2011. It aims to create a network where Sciences Po students can connect amongst each other on the grounds of their shared interest for energy and the environment, with private and public stakeholders in these sectors. To this end, SPEA organises excursions, conferences, and small-scale roundtable workshops to allow its members to deepen their knowledge on energy-related issues. These have included trips to nuclear facilities, talks by alumni now working in the field, and roundtables with professionals from both the energy and the environmental sectors. During times of COVID19 and isolation, it has also organised online events for students to get to know their peers.
