Scout's Animal Rehab Therapy Fund underwrites the cost of physical rehabilitation therapy for animals with special needs. Just as physical therapy helps people live better lives, physical rehabilitation therapy helps improve the quality of life for our pets and service animals. With rehab therapy, dogs and cats can recover more quickly from injury or surgery, or just live more comfortably and more functionally as they deal with the effects of old age, illness and disease. But in difficult economic times, many animals can't get the rehab therapy they need and so are retired early from service or—worse—euthanized due to a poor quality of life. That's why we started Scout's Animal Rehab Therapy Fund.
