Film Matters Belgium actively represents the interests of film distributors in Belgium Its membership ranges from Hollywood studios (Sony Pictures Releasing, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures,...) to independent operators ( Distri 7, Imagine, Kinepolis Film Distribution, Lumière, O'Brother, Paradiso, The Searchers, …) and is responsible for the great majority of films released theatrically in the territory. Within Film Matters Belgium, film distributors are organized in a dynamic agile association and act collectively to promote their interests and values at all levels. To fulfil its aims and serve members' interests best, Film Matters Belgium delivers a programme of 3 main core inter-related workstreams:Community – Enhance the exchange of information and best practice amongst film distributors.Policy & Resources – to present a coherent, positive voice for the Belux distribution sector to government, the press, politics and relevant local and international advisory structures and stakeholders, with the objective to develop amongst policymakers and stakeholders a greater understanding of the sector and the theatrical distribution economy as a wholeAudience Development – to better understand, excite and inspire the cinemagoing habit
