Seeds was established as a non-profit organization that helps communities develop their capacity for providing supportive environments. Our mission is to be a source that "cultivates supportive communities to serve as centers for individual and collective healing and resiliency." Seeds provides an array of services for organizations and communities, including training around trauma-informed care, conflict resolution and communication, handling compassion fatigue, and trauma-informed parenting. Our "Supportive Community Model" programs bring together multiple features to create sustainable solutions to a social need within the context of a trauma-informed, supportive community. 2 Fams for Kids, our first such program, works with communities who have committed to maintaining two foster families within their memberships to create a sustainable recruitment plan along with developing support systems for these foster families.
