Through our student prefect system, a large number of activities such as yearbook, singing competitions, Chinese folk music troupe, student librarians, Chinese visual arts, robotics, debate, QDiscovery, rock-climbing, service learning with Teach for China, and our PAC-12 spon-sored Qibao Dwight Business Case Competition are implemented. Students are free to create their own clubs based on interests.ELECTIVES: As stated in "Zuozhuan": "People, born of five elements are to utilize all of them and waste none." Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth and Wind, are the six elements the school adopted while establishing the House system, and they are extended to the elective course system. Electives are categorized accordingly: Metal/Compe-titions, Wood/Natural Sciences, Water/Individuals and Society, Fire/Arts, Earth/Humanities and Social Sciences and Wind/Athletics and Fitness. Students are expected to take an elective from each category in their three years at Qibao Dwight.
