Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) is a non-profit civil society organization, focusing primarily on Socio-Political Peacebuilding, Democracy and Governance, Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship. Based in Islamabad, SFEA has been actively engaged in the process of constructive social change since 2008, whereas the organization was formally registered in July 2012 under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Registration and Control Ordinance, 1961 and has also been incorporated under the Companies Act, 2017 with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in 2019.SFEA hosts a network of credible non-governmental/civil society partners and leaders from all across Pakistan, including local organizations in newly merged districts (Ex-FATA), Balochistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. SFEA aims to yield meaningful and positive change through its extensive outreach activity and collaborative network, which includes multifaceted advocacy campaigns, capacity building programs and communication activities carried out with various national/international donors and development organizations, spanning over more than 60 districts, 60+ universities and 30+ religious seminaries.Led by an experienced team, SFEA has a combined experience of more than 10 years in community engagement and strategic communication, alongside an efficient paradigm of operations to effectively meet objectives and deadlines. Moreover, SFEA has an excellent capacity to fulfill the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements of its donors and has already worked with the U.S. Mission Pakistan, USAID, the Canada Fund for local initiatives, International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES), Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), National Endowment for Democracy (NED), United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and Development Alternatives Inc (DAI) among others.
