Shaping Futures is on a mission to raise funds towards a training facility which will host a number of workshops where under-privileged school students ages 13 to 18 can learn how to use the Internet. They would also learn about online applications such as web development, graphics, blogging and social media, mobile, and about business thus enabling them to be in a position to provide support to small, medium and large businesses in South Africa, which would improve our economic and global status long term.The internet has the power to give people the opportunity to learn new skills, find jobs or become self sustainable, by starting their own business earning an income.We are currently training and mentoring a few individuals and realise the deep need for them to become digital citizens. It costs R6,500 to train one individual to undertake a 2 month training program. We hope to launch our training facility by 1st September.
