The concept of incorporating the serious study of the lyrics and melody into an English language education began in 2011. At the time it was common knowledge among teachers that music was a great way to teach language. However, we became curious and wanted to find out whether or not that concept was grounded in scientific evidence, or was it just a fun activity for the kids? We discovered that many scientists and scholars believed that the language and the music centers of the brain intersected. Some argued that language and music are in a state of flux and co-evolve. Based on that assumption we felt justified to pursue that idea and started to design a course where music could have a powerful effect in the educational process
