Shield LA started as a volunteer group that decided to take the PPE shortage into their own hands. Delivering now over 8,000 face shields to hospitals in LA County, Orange County, states across the US, and various other countries, Shield LA continues to innovate. Our shield design is a highly efficient design that can produce 20,000-40,000 shields a day with cost under $2. We are beginning to experiment with new ways of fabricating other PPE materials as well such as face masks and gowns that can maintain a similar production as the face shields.
