Soon after Covid-19 arrived in the United States early this year, scientists in Germany learned that the virus was being spread by people who were seemingly in good health. Our scientists and lab technicians in microbiology and virology knew from experience that masks would be an important tool in stopping the disease. We partnered with professional tailors to design effective masks that would be as comfortable as possible. Shield Science was born.We chose natural cotton for its filtration and comfort, and developed a design with strict specifications to maximize effectiveness. Once we identified the key elements, we worked closely with our tailors to create the best possible mask available.
