Social Housing and Property Rights in Kosovo NGO is established to identify individuals or families who are in need of social housing and to assist them to acquire social accommodation. Furthermore the SHPRK is established to provide legal assistance in social housing and property rights related matters to all those individuals and groups of people who are eligible for free legal aid.The idea to create this NGO is a long-standing one, as we believe that there is a clear need for assistance in the area of property rights and social housing. There is virtually no support stemming from the civil society organizations in this regard, which is a deficit that we are aiming to fill with our expertise and experience.To this effect, SHPRK obtained its certificate of registration on 23rd March 2009 from the Ministry of Public Services in Kosovo.As the first NGO in Kosovo to deal with issues of property rights and social housing, our aim is to be proactive in this direction, and position ourselves in close proximity with the citizens of Kosovo – our constituency base - and assist them in the realization of their property rights, as well as all those persons and families who don't have (adequate) housing.Our vision is based on the conviction that there are unused opportunities, good will and conditions for the realization of such a mission. What is needed is dedication and coordination between the relevant factors, which will enable the successful implementation of this mission. Moreover, this mission is to ensure that everyone ends up being a winner; therefore there is every reason to believe that there will be fruitful cooperation between all the factors involved in this process. In order to implement this mission, we are committed to give our full contribution.
