SINGA is an international, community-building network that brings refugees, newcomers and locals together through projects, activities and meet-ups based on common interests, skill sharing and knowledge exchange.Singa means "connect" (in Lingala, a Congolese language) and is open to everyone no matter what their background or where they are in life. Anyone can create new events and co-host spaces, or participate, or both! Whether its sports or music, arts, languages, food, nature, business or something else, there are an infinite number of ideas powered by the things people love that SINGA stands ready to help make happen. Founded in Paris in 2012, today SINGA is a community of more than 25,000 people of all backgrounds in six countries: France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Canada (Quebec) and now: the UK! We have begun with our first Chapter opening in Hackney & Tower Hamlets, East London, and in time will expand to other parts of the city and regional UK.
