SJTU-ParisTech Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) is an elite joint Institute of Technology created by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and ParisTech, offering an integrated engineering education, leading to the development of a research platform. SPEIT was inaugurated by Mr. François Hollande, the President of the Republic of France, in April 2013.SPEIT runs a 6.5 years program at three specialties, which are Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Power, Information Engineering. With the first-class teaching personnel, SPEIT strives to provide high-level education and to render our students to become outstanding engineers and industrial leaders with integrative and applicable knowledge as well as international vision. The top managing body of SPEIT is the Joint Board Committee which consists of members from SJTU, ParisTech Group and partner enterprises. Additionally, there are two steering committees, the Academic Committee and the Scientific Committee which advise and decide on those matters related to teaching, research, industrial partnerships and school development. SPEIT highly values collaboration with enterprises and has established Enterprise Clubs and carried out collaborative work in teaching and research.
