Smart Toto is a youth-led social enterprise working to nurture a reading culture in Uganda and beyond, through publishing authentic books, conducting reading programs, and trainings on Early Childhood Literacy Development.Smart Toto understands just how important reading is for childhood development, and we are all about showing that "Books Are Toys Too!" 1 Million Books to 1 Million Kids is our debut campaign committed to nurturing a reading culture through affording books, libraries, and early literacy trainings to communities in Uganda, and beyond. We nurture what is best about Africa, and renew the core values of love, respect, virtue and creativity that are alive in each person's soul. SMART TOTO was founded because we love stories, we love kids, and we love Africa. Children love stories too. Science and research has proven the wisdom of our grandparents who would tell stories to teach, to entertain, to guide, to inspire, and to motivate. Their stories showed that they valued, loved, and respected the children.
