Smartski develops a sensor-based app that helps cross-country skiers to improve their technique and performance. Users easily attach a smartphone onto the upper body by using a smartphone belt around the waist. Based on performance they receive a score by measuring human motion and momentum using motion sensors (sensor fusion) and GPS inside the smartphone along with artificial intelligence. The company is a sensor technology startup using results from international research projects at the University of Oslo. We are located inside Oslo Innovation Center (Forskningsparken).
