Dr. Jerry Sobel is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic neck and back pain, nerve pain in the arm or leg, and the non-operative management of orthopedic problems involving the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He also performs EMGs, a test used to diagnosis nerve injuries. Dr. Sobel performs pain relieving procedures such as epidurals and facet joint injections in the spine as well as in-office joint injections guided by ultrasound. Dr. Sobel believes in a comprehensive approach to the care of his patients and takes into account the physical, psychological and social aspect of each person's illness. While he does manage the person's pain, he believes this is just one aspect of multidimensional treatment plan.
