Nonprofit Organization Management - Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana
Social Innovation Africa is an intercontinental Pan-African network, with global offices in Ghana, Canada, Holland and the USA. A member of the MBC Africa Group, we seek to create dynamic national networks to drive an entrepreneurship & innovation agenda for each country in tandem with creating the enabling environment/growth for local philanthropy. Our goal in establishing these networks is to provide an indigenous voice that will foster strong national ecosystems of support towards the long term development of Africa's entrepreneurial culture, leading to access to growth capital for attaining the SDGs. This will in turn ensue creation of jobs and play a key role in curbing the issues that lead directly to the forced migration of the continent's youth and its brightest minds.SI Africa's scope of work also includes building regional awareness of trends, standards, learnings from the global community, acquiring sustainable growth in the industry; advocacy for programs that promote social innovation; conducting research to broaden understanding of the enterprise landscape internally and externally; driving African philanthropy; documenting best practices; and capturing the impact enterprises are creating in the country or elsewhere. We do through policy engagement, advocacy, resource-provision, education, and training. Finally we intend to pilot local entrepreneurial solutions to the social issues currently affecting the continent by piloting learning labs through national and regional thematic incubators on the themes of : refugeeism, WASH, Nutrition, agribusiness and education.
