Atlanta-based drone startup Sonin Aerospace was formed to develop and manufacture/license innovative technologies in the burgeoning drone space. Sonin's core technological offering is the In-Flight Recharging System™ (IFRS™) that allows a quadcopter drone to stay aloft indefinitely, limited only by normal wear on moving parts (i.e., ball bearings inside electric motors). Sonin's debut drone, the SD-68 Ranger, employs this technology and will soon debut by achieving the world's first transatlantic flight by an electric drone.
