Founded in 1921, the South Carolina Public Health Association (SCPHA) is a 501(c)(3) statewide non-profit organization for public health professionals aimed at advancing the profession by serving those who endeavor to improve population health. The purpose and goals of the Association are to protect and promote personal, community, and environmental health; to exercise leadership in health policy development and action; to provide a forum for matters pertaining to public health; and, to foster scientific and professional development among its members.
