SowChange Details
SowChange is an app that connects to your credit card through Plaid API, and donates rounded-up change to your favorite charities. In September of 2018, Davidson College sophomores Nathan Engstrom, Zane Libke, and Drew Eastland teamed up for the 3-day startup competition at the newly founded J. Hurt Hub Center for Innovation. The team was formed because of a joint desire to do something good for the world. The pitch was well received by the panel, and Zane and Nathan decided to continue on with the project. A couple of weeks later, they were awarded the Avinger Scholarship to pursue the idea. Shortly after, Altan Tutar, a Davidson College Junior and bonafide computer wiz, was brought on to the team as head of product development. SowChange is currently in trial stages, and plans to release a full version of the app in Summer 2019.
