SOWED Kenya is an indigenous Kenyan non-governmental and not-for-profit organization rated in 2013 by the GreatNonprofits-USA as a top non-profit organization in Africa. SOWED Kenya was founded in 1998 and registered in the year 2000 to strengthen gender equality and human rights as health policy priority issues and a strategy for social transformation. SOWED Kenya uses innovative advocacy and grassroots mobilization actions within a human rights-based framework to foster healthy, just and violence free communities for women and children in Kenya. We are located in Ongata Rongai in Kajiado County, Approximately 21 Kilometers in the peri-urban of Nairobi, Kenya's capital city. Our Mission; 'To Excel in Using Innovative Advocacy and Grassroots Mobilization Actions that Strengthen Gender Equality and Human Rights as Health Policy Priority and a Strategy for Social Transformation in Kenya'.
