Arts and Crafts - Toronto, ON, CA
Studio 180 is a Toronto-based theatre company with the mission to produce socially relevant theatre that provokes public discourse and promotes community engagement. Over the past several years, we have offered a series of Canadian premieres that have tackled difficult and divisive issues and generated powerful audience and community responses.Studio 180 began life modestly in March of 2002, when its five co-founders came together with the collective notion of "putting on a show." Less than a year later, we emerged on the theatrical scene with the acclaimed Canadian premiere of The Laramie Project (2003). A string of popular and critical successes has helped Studio 180 evolve from an informal artistic collective into a not-for-profit charitable organization with a board of directors, General Manager, significant producing partnerships, growing base of financial support, and clear and distinctive mission to stage compelling, unique and socially significant drama.Founded in 2002, Studio 180 Theatre's co-founders are: C. Derrick Chua, Joel Greenberg, Mark McGrinder, Samara Nicholds, and Kimwun Perehinec.Find us on Twitter @stu180theatre, on Instagram @studio180theatre, and on Facebook /studio180theatre
