The Surfing for Life Foundation is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit charity consisting of concerned individuals, corporations, celebrities and athletes - all joining together for a common cause: to raise awareness about cancer in the surfing community. Founded by Tom Brown, the non-profit organization was inspired following a diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer in 2008. Overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, friendship, and prayer he was deeply moved and devoted to finding a way to give back to the surfing community. He has dedicated his life to helping educate individuals about ways of being proactive in the fight against cancer.
