Concerts Sweden will be terminated definitely on 1 January 2011, in accordance with the decision made by the Swedish Parliament and the Swedish Government. One of the consequences is that Concerts Sweden will no longer be recommending international ensembles and performers to Swedish organisers and vice versa. Likewise, in 2011, Concerts Sweden will not be a part of the international collaborations and networks e.g. Young Nordic Jazz Comets, Ethno World, Europe Jazz Network, Jeunesses Musicales International, Jazz from Sweden, Celtic Connection, Babel Med, Tønder, Cinars, Womex, Ispa, Iama, Apap and Folk Alliance. Two of Concerts Sweden's departments will be saved: the record label Caprice Records and the electroacoustic music studios, EMS. Those two departments will be moved over to the new body called Statens Musikverk under which the new department, Plattformen för musik, will be placed. This department will take over some of the responsibilities which formerly lay with Concerts Sweden and will start to function on 1 May 2011. For further information about Plattformen för musik please contact Statens Musikverk, +46 85 19 55 400 or www.smus.se. Parts of Concerts Sweden's administration will be available during the first half of 2011 in order to finish all the financial commitments of the foundation. The remaining parts of the foundation will be dismantled during the second quarter of 2012. Updated information will available on www.rikskonserter.se all through 2011.
