SwissPlayground offers a range of services that support and supplement international schools' outdoor education programs and strengthen students' cultural understanding and appreciation for Switzerland. Why Swiss Playground? We believe that education is a lifelong process of developing one's individual identity and acquiring the knowledge, skills and values that provide guidance throughout one's life. The outdoors is an educational setting that is inspiring, challenging and unpredictable, as is life. We teach students that what defines a person is not one's successes or defeats, but how one reacts to the world around him. We look forward to sharing our love for the outdoors and expertise with you. Why experiential challenges? Learning comes from reflecting on the process, not on the end result. Overcoming experiential challenges allows students to develop values and skills that will define and guide them through a fast-paced changing world. Compassion, respect, teamwork, perseverance and self-reliance are all principles strengthened by challenging oneself to be part of a team, to overcome a personal challenge and to take initiative to solve problems. Through experiential outdoor experiences, students develop and transfer their skills in new environments, fostering greater curiosity in the world beyond, as well as their personal and social awareness.
