Thakur College of Engineering & Technology was founded to impart technical education with an aspect of International Standards and Contemporary Global requirements. Thakur College of Engineering & Technology not only aims at overall development of the students but also ensures imparting Global knowledge to the students.With this characteristic, the students of Thakur College of Engineering & Technology organized their first Model United Nations Conference in the year 2010-11 called as "Zephyr Model United Nations Conference". Students from Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore participated in this venerated Conference to gain experience and exposures of the International Current Problems faced by the World and collectively find a solution for them. Students represented themselves as Diplomats of their respective Countries to solve the world issues amicably. This enabled the students to step into the shoes of a Diplomat and enhance his public speaking skills.With the great success of Zephyr Model United Nations Conference, the students got a platform to put forth their ideas and explore their diplomatic and public speaking skills. Students of Thakur College of Engineering & Technology are now motivated to attend various debates and Model United Nations Conferences and have won accolades in plenty across India.Zephyr MUN being the first step towards imparting Global knowledge motivated the students of this Institution to carve a foundation of a Model United Nations Society for their very own Thakur College of Engineering & Technology. With this, the Principal, Faculty, and students established the Thakur College of Engineering & Technology Model United Nations Society ("TCET MUN Society").Inspired by the United Nations Peace Poem, Thakur College of Engineering & Technology Model United Nations Society believes that "One by one and together we can all make a difference."
