The Society Of Automotive Engineers (SAE) conducts the aero design competition annually in the USA. This event comprises of three classes namely advanced, regular and micro. All the three classes converge on the singular object of designing, fabricating and flying an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Team Vaayushastra became the first ever team to represent Fr. CRCE on an international platform in the March of 2013, participated in the advanced class of the competition that was held at Fort Worth, Texas, USA. In the second attempt this team participated in the Advance as well as the Micro class in March 2014 held at Fort Worth, Texas, USA. In its debut performance Team Vaayushastra was able to achieve the 10th position in the Advance category of this competition. The second edition of the team was not only able to maintain the previous years' brilliant performance but also outdo them by ranking 7th and 16th in Advance class and Micro class respectively amongst the 75 teams that participated in the competition . Team Vaayushastra has managed to receive accolades internationally and has achieved great heights of success and is still striving to better its performance and achieve higher levels of success
