TERJA Foundation is a global organization primarily established to support underserved youth and families in the United States and in the continent of Africa.MissionTERJA Foundation's mission is to facilitate processes and programs which increase and enhance capacity and opportunities for vulnerable children and youth with emphasis on equitable and quality education. VisionTERJA Foundation's vision is to be the lead contributor to the independence and self-reliance of vulnerable children and youth through holistic education.HistoryTERJA foundation is in honor of Teresa and Jackson Osundwa, both advocates of an equitable education especially that of the girl child. The idea of TERJA Foundation was first suggested in 2013 by one of Terry and Jack's children, Lynette Injette Ochola, a development professional with over 20 years' experience in international development. Together with her siblings, Katherine Muoki, Judith Skeele, Roselyn Ingutia, Solomon Osundwa, Nancy Osundwa-Waldrup, Collins Osundwa and Oscar Osundwa and their families, a vision and mission statement was developed. This was the beginning of TERJA Foundation!
