Since 1994, the Texas Iron Spikes service organization has been recognized for its commitment to excellence and leadership on campus at the University of Texas at Austin and in the community. As the official spirit organization of Texas Baseball, the Spikes are also focused on promoting student engagement and supporting Texas Athletics.Partnering with the Texas Iron Spikes Alumni Association, this fraternal student group has actively supported notable non-profits including Special Olympic of Texas (SOTX), Dell Children's Medical Center, and Neighborhood Longhorns since 1994 by raising 200K+ in service hours and $1m+ in fundraising efforts. Recently, in 2018, the Texas Iron Spikes were honored as 'Most Outstanding Service Organization' by Special Olympics of Texas.
