Thacher Climbing Coalition is a New York based advocacy organization with a mission to reopen John Boyd Thacher State Park to rock and ice climbing and conserve wild cliff lands in the area. Founded in 2012 the organization represents climbers across the Northeast who would like to see more sport climbing areas. The organization joins the climbing constituency with other user groups to support conservation and protection of lands on the Helderberg Escarpment.
