The Angel Project is a registered Charity #83839-3486RR0001 TAP was founded by Lisette Kingo in 2007.We are proud to say we have operated for over a decade with minimal overhead and no paid employees. Giving a literal voice back to people and mobility to some that have been bed ridden for years even decades. An accident can occur anytime, or a stroke or sometimes a genetic condition will leave a person immobilized unable to move or speak. In some cases family and friends simple fall away over time and there person has no support network. We provide the patient portion of Custom wheel chairs, voice boxes and other much needed medical equipment. Hearing a person speak for the first time because of a computer is powerful. In addition to providing medical equipment we also provide hospitals with hygiene items. Imagine not being able to shave or shaving with a old razor and water, no lotions or shampoos or combs, things we take for granted. A little basic Humanity. We have also arranged for several outings for patients who had not left the hospital for years including, Hockey games, the race track and rock in the park. At Christmas time we have our "adopt a patient" program where we make sure each patient recieves at least one gift. We have donated the built of two patient lounges, refurbished patient areas, built gardens and provided coffee and tea setups, countless TV's , video games, movies etc. We have even funded the homecoming of patients, where we fund the building of making a home wheelchair accessible on the rare occasion there is somewhere for patients to go. To learn move please contact us info@theAngelproject.caOur biggest fundraiser of the year is The Angel Tournament held in Burlington Ontario. We have also hosted events in Down town Toronto such asCouture for a Cause. Some familiar Angel ambassadors over the years have been Miss Universe Canada, Gabriella Miller, Doug Gilmour, Victor Mete and more.
