Nonprofit Organization Management - Charleston, South Carolina, United States
The Bee Cause Project (BCP) and our tiny partners, the bees, work to engage students of all ages with their own environments through observation-based learning. Our STEAM-based curriculum, educational hives, and international network build learning opportunities in classrooms and communities, in order to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. BCP offers monetary grants to schools as well as other educational organizations that want to host live beehives on their campuses. This is usually with a BCP Observation Hive installed in a classroom. Our support is no just monetary, we provide assistance through curriculums and lesson plans created specifically for pollinator education. These lessons are in conjunction with the observation hive. Other pollinator-themed activities include book clubs, bee clubs, and pollinator-friendly gardens. We are expanding our outreach with programming designed for older bee-lovers. The BCP Digital Hive program and Bee a Friend to Pollinator programs allow libraries and businesses to support pollinator education for everyone.
