Nonprofit Organization Management - Naperville, Illinois, United States
The Bernard Coffey Veterans Foundation (TBCVF) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in November 2014 to address the needs of veterans, military members, their families, and the community. TBCVF was founded by Bernard Coffey, a U.S. Navy veteran and the host of the Veteran Show on Fox Sports Radio. TBCVF is dedicated to providing resources for our veterans. The men and women who serve our country and make sacrifices on our behalf often return home to challenges created as a result of their service. TBCVF was organized to help veterans overcome these challenges by providing an array of supportive services designed to help veterans cope with the aftereffects of their military service, overcome the challenges they may face, and transition to civilian life. We place a strong emphasis on helping veterans who have been displaced from their homes. TBCVF serves all veterans, members of the military, and their families. Since our founding in 2014, TBCVF has served over 7,000 veterans by providing emergency shelter, housing assistance, healthy meals, clothing and shoes, counseling, and employment and vocational assistance to veterans in Cook, DuPage and Will Counties in Illinois and in northwest Indiana. TBCVF partners with several other veteran-focused organizations, including the VFW, Friends of Fisher House Illinois, Disabled American Veterans, Strike Force, Chicago Submariner, and All Veterans Consulting LLC. In addition, TBCVF works with churches, civic groups, and other non-profits in order to meet the needs of veterans.
