Our names are Mollie Mulvey, Meryl Thomas, and Hobbes Reynolds, and we are filmmakers in our early 20s. When the pandemic restricted our school and work schedules in March of 2020, we looked to each other for ways to stay productive. Out of our voyage for productivity blossomed the idea to found our very own production company and begin the journey of making our first feature length film. Titled "The Better Part", our first film underwent a 9 month long pre-production, a successful 3 week long production, and is currently in post-production. Through thorough preparation and a deep understanding of Covid-19 safety practices, we organized our cast and crew of 23 people to arrive at our location and carry out a safe production. By living together for 3 weeks on a ranch near Austin, Texas that also doubled as our filming location, our production's productivity was enhanced and our camaraderie was bolstered.Note: the only employees of The Better Part, LLC are Mollie Mulvey, Meryl Thomas, and Hobbes Reynolds. Others may have worked on our production "The Better Part".
