Nonprofit Organization Management - , Washington, United States
Founded in 2012, The Carpe Diem Project is the first nonprofit agency in Washington, DC dedicated to providing outreach, programs and supportive services to former foster youth, who would otherwise exit foster care; homeless; unemployed; lacking family connections and a strong educational foundation. The agency's program model proactively challenge the dismal trends among former foster youth by helping the youth avoid grim outcomes and defy statistics to achieve real long-term self-sufficiency.
