The Centre for Appropriate Technology was established in 1980 to research, design, develop and teach appropriate technologies and deliver technical training to Indigenous people living in remote communities. Today, we continue to connect people and country through technology to inspire better livelihoods. CfAT provides technical solutions to infrastructure challenges such as power, water, digital connectivity, and built infrastructure. CfAT also offers training, skills development, employment opportunities, workplace development, and facilitate cultural connectivity.
