The Chiles Center is a multidisciplinary, community-engaged catalyst promoting optimal health and well-being across the life course of women, children, families, and communities; by conducting cutting-edge research, applying evidence-based practices and approaches, delivering education, and guiding change through service and partnership.Created as a non-profit organization in 1996, today The Chiles Center is housed within the College of Public Health, at the Department of Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida, and is under the direction of Dean of the College of Public Health and Center Director William Sappenfield, MD, MPH.
