The City of Hope Outreach Details
CoHO focuses on three primary areas for community renewal: education, housing, and community development. EDUCATION: The CoHO Academy advocates for improved educational opportunities in the lives of children and adults. CoHO Academy offers literacy development, technology education, and ESL training for adults. HOUSING: The Hope Home for Men offers transitional housing for homeless men. Men receive a warm bed, shower facilities, and assistance with employment to begin the journey towards sustainable living. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: CoHO sponsors four events for the purposes of strengthening personal relationships and mobilizing people to work in under resourced areas. CoHO sponsors the Community Carnival, Thanksgiving Banquet and Christmas Store during the months of April, November and December.Awards include:- Rainwater, Holt, and Sexton Spirit Award (2018)- Conway Chamber of Commerce Advocate for Opportunity Award (2015)- Conway Chamber of Commerce Minority Business of the Year (2013)
