The Claddagh Association Inc was formally set up in January 1997 in Perth by a group of volunteers. There was a management committee and additional volunteers from within the Irish community.As the influx of Irish citizens arrived in Western Australia the need for the services of the Association grew and the voluntary committee and other volunteers were under enormous pressure to meet the needs of the broader Irish Community.Today the Association has one fulltime paid position split between a Coordinator and an Administrator
