The Doctor Fantastique Company was founded by a Steampunk creative who saw a dearth of media organizations devoted to helping Steampunk creators like artists, writers, graphic novelists, and more make a living at their work. The launch product, Doctor Fantastique's Show of Wonders magazine, was designed with the intention of becoming a central hub for Steampunk news on the web and in print. Doctor Fantastique Books, the second product line, focuses on innovative fiction and nonfiction from Steampunk writers around the world. It is is also open to publishing graphic novels and other forms of printed media both in eBook and print-on-demand trade paperback form.Fantastique Gearworks, the third product line, is focused on the publication of new and interesting Steampunk fiction of interest to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer communities. Beyond the book publishing and magazine, The Doctor Fantastique Company is also interested in radio plays, web-based television shows, webcomics, pencil-and-paper roleplaying games, and the promotion of Steampunk artists, Makers, and other creatives. We also have relationships with charities such as A Steam Powered Cause and the Starving Steampunk Foundation.The Doctor Fantastique Company is devoted to making it possible for Steampunks of all colors, creeds, races, sexual orientations, and anyone else, to support themselves by using their art.
