Higher Education - Grand Island, Nebraska, United States
The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction is one of seven academic units in the University of Nebraska – Lincoln College of Engineering, with programs on both City Campus (Lincoln) and Scott Campus (Omaha). We focus on education, research, and engagement in the fields of architectural engineering, construction engineering, and construction management. Our engaged students mentored by outstanding faculty are repeat winners of numerous national competitions. We are also fortunate to be located in a geographic region with thriving companies that are leaders in the architectural engineering and construction industries. The unique and active engagement of local professional engineers as mentors to our students has led our Architectural Engineering Team Design class to place in five of the past NCEES Engineering Education competitions https://ncees.org/education/engineering-award/ , winning the $25k grand prize twice (2016, 2019) and secondary $10k prizes three times (2015, 2018 and 2021). We are proud to be the only academic unit with such a national record of excellence!
