The Foundation for African Empowerment (FAE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable children and people including those with disabilities in Tanzania. We give special attention to children with disabilities because they are they are the majority living in poverty. For example, of all children out of school worldwide, children with disabilities are the majority of all making 65 million children which is equal to the population size of France. By 2008, it was estimated that 80% of children with disabilities in Tanzania are out of school.
