Formed in the Spring of 2014 and founded by Becca Crivello, The Hawkettes are are an all-female a cappella group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell that is making waves as the newest a cappella group on campus. We are a tight-knit group of fun-loving and hard-working women from all majors and class years with each of us adding our own personality and voice to our ensemble. The group's focus is on sharing our love of music with the community and creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all members, including those who are LGBTQIA+. We perform at a variety of events throughout the year and are one of the recorded groups on campus, with a recently released single, Who Do You Love. Our arrangements are entirely student-created, emphasize the power of all female a cappella, and are a fresh take on popular and lesser-known artists alike.
