Nonprofit Organization Management - Los Angeles, California, United States
The Jimbo Foundation was founded in honor and loving memory of Jim Berry. He was a friend to many, a father to few, and a quitter to none. He lost his battle to ALS after a hard-faught 5 years in October of 2020. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a terminal disease that attacks the central nervous system which affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing complete loss of muscle control. As it stands today in America, only 1 in every 50,000 people get diagnosed with this disease. This disease is not an incurable one, but due to the lack of recognition ALS has received, it has been severely under-funded, and The Jimbo Foundation is here to change that. We are partnering with ALS Therapy Development Institute (https://www.als.net/), the largest nonprofit biotech, to help provide funding to their ALS research efforts. With your donation, we will put an end to ALS once, and for all.
