The Language Barrier is a youth-led organisation that motivates youth to pursue second language studies. We create change in two ways. Firstly, enthusiastic university language enthusiasts explain the benefits of second languages by presenting in high school classrooms, motivating students about the prospect of being bilingual. Secondly, we have content creators in our target countries around the world, writing articles that can be used as a teaching resource in classrooms around Australia and the world. TLB focuses on six languages - Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, and German - aiming to address the concerning declining language enrolment rates. In doing so, we're creating a multilingual Australia.
