Founded in 2014, The Left Foot exists to improve the standard of living of the people of Madagascar through good governance, better education and improved healthcare system.About 75 percent of the population of Madagascar are found living in poverty. That is 16 million Malagasy people, most of whom under the age of 20 years. Help us change that.A good governance, a better education, an improved healthcare system will give back to the island its economic and social value and ensure healthy environment with secure living life. The social and educational enrichment that has been lost is immeasurable. the statistics on the increase of insecurity, illiteracy not mentioning infectious diseases speak for themselves.RECENT PROJECTSHelping 32 schools in ZAP2 (Administrative and Educational zone 2) in Imerintsiatosika region - Antananarivo/Madagascar.A dozen of our local volunteers, along with one of our staff members who recently traveled to Madagascar gave some school suppliesReconstruct/repair of Talata-Maromena school in Imerintsiatosika - Antananarivo/Madagascar. One of our executive member recently headed out to help some school principals in Madagascar reconstruct and repair a school in Talata Maromena, Antananarivo/Madagascar. Publish a Malagasy written book on Education for Democratic Citizenship for young kids in primary school A small handful of volunteers work with our staff members to accomplish the edition and publishing of the book.Visit http://www.theleftfootcorp.org/ to get involved.The Left Foot, Corp concentrates on training school teachers and educators. We will also focus on training health personnel and awareness campaigns will be conducted to promote these efforts: -Obtain and deliver equipment and supplies for Hospitals and other healthcare facilities.-Support educational initiatives for school institutions and healthcare providers -Increase awareness in the United States of education and healthcare needs in Madagascar -Partner with other organizations to maximize the aid we can provide -raise funds to support these efforts
