The Lever Fund identifies, funds, and partners with high-performance, high-impact nonprofit organizations in and around Washington, D.C. that are getting results.The National Capital Region (or DMV) boasts some of the greatest wealth in the world—yet more than 400,000 of our neighbors live on less than $24,600 per year for a family of four, and over 1 million endure lives of chronic financial instability. If we are to lift our region's low-income families out of poverty, we must find a new way.Launched by a group of entrepreneurs, political and nonprofit veterans, the Lever Fund has a simple, powerful mission: · raise more poverty-fighting dollars;· engage entrepreneurs and others who are new to philanthropy;· invest in a smarter, data-driven way in high-performing nonprofits; and· deliver results.The Lever Fund is modeled after successful organizations such as the Robin Hood Foundation (New York City, NY), A Better Chicago (Chicago, IL), and Tipping Point (San Francisco, CA), all of which apply metrics, emphasize impact, and are committed to producing solid results.Join us to fight poverty right here.
