The Global Trunk is a fair-trade, wholesale and retail business that works with indigenous artisans in Guatemala and Mexico to bring handcrafted and repurposed products into the global market. We source vintage textiles and organic raw materials and work directly with Mayan artisans to create contemporary home-goods, lifestyle wares and one-of-a-kind giftsOur mission is to create opportunities for indigenous artisans from around the world by bringing handcrafted, repurposed and fair trade products into the global market. A percentage of all TGT sales is donated back to those communities in need.the Global Trunk currently contributes to the Amigos de Jaibalito Foundation, which provides resources to the small, impoverished village of Jaibalito near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. We've also partnered with Mayan Families and Amigos de Santa Cruz, organizations that offer a variety of health and educational programs to the communities of Guatemala.
